“Hamlet” – A Performance at the University Theater
The Tel Aviv University Alumni Organization, in collaboration with the University Theater and the Department of Theatre Arts, invites you to attend a performance of Hamlet and a conversation with Ariel N. Wolf, the director of the play, and Alon Tiran, Artistic Director of the University Theater in the Department of Theatre Arts, Tel Aviv University.
The Tel Aviv University Alumni Organization, in collaboration with the University Theater, hosted a special event for the alumni community featuring a performance of Hamlet by William Shakespeare, performed by fourth-year acting students at Tel Aviv University.
The evening opened with a creators’ talk with the play’s director, Ariel N. Wolf, and Yonathan Beck – artist, director, Head of the University Theater’s Educational Department, and alumnus of the Faculty of the Arts at Tel Aviv University – followed by the performance itself.
Among the Tel Aviv University alumni in attendance were Avner and Tzipi Solel, actress Esti Zakheim, and others.
The production of Hamlet is the final project of the Acting Track students in the Department of Theatre Arts, Faculty of the Arts, Tel Aviv University. The classic play receives a fresh, personal, and political interpretation.
Hamlet suspects a conspiracy: his father, the King of Denmark, has been murdered, and the prime suspect is his uncle Claudius, who married Hamlet’s mother and became the new king. But who else was involved in this fateful event?
