A Human Morning – Shaping Israel Together

The Industry Liaison Center of Tel Aviv University, in collaboration with the Tel Aviv University Alumni Organization, held a morning of inspiration and dialogue featuring professional panels with the participation of university alumni. The panels offered a unique perspective on the current human resources challenges in Israel and around the world. The event took place at ANU – Museum of the Jewish People at Tel Aviv University, in the Lady Sarah Cohen Gallery, and was attended by Elie Sagiv, CEO of L’Oréal Israel and an alumnus of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Tel Aviv University.

The event was moderated by Adv. Yaarit Rachamim-Avrutzky, Director of the Industry Liaison Center at Tel Aviv University. Opening remarks were delivered by Prof. Moshe Zviran, Head of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Tel Aviv University, who spoke about Tel Aviv University with an industry-oriented perspective. Sigalit Ben-Hayoun, Head of the Tel Aviv University Alumni Organization, presented “How Do We Build a World-Changing Community?”, and Racheli Warshavsky, Head of the Social Impact Unit at the Dean of Student Success, presented “TAU Impact.”

 

 

The first panel focused on social diversity as a driver of innovation and was moderated by Prof. Neta Ziv, Vice President for Equality, Diversity, and Community at Tel Aviv University. Participants included: Elie Sagiv, CEO of L’Oréal Israel and an alumnus of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Tel Aviv University; Nava Kazaz, Chief People Officer at Stratasys and an alumna of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Tel Aviv University; Prof. Tova Milo, Dean of the Faculty of Exact Sciences at Tel Aviv University; and Adv. Hanan Alsana, a social and political activist and researcher on housing rights of Bedouin women, and a student at the Faculty of Law at Tel Aviv University.

The second panel addressed the role of academia and industry in creating new engines of growth in the post-war era and was moderated by Prof. Noam Shomron, Head of a Research Laboratory at the Gray Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at Tel Aviv University. Participants included: Dr. Ronen Dar, VP Software Systems at NVIDIA and an alumnus of the Faculty of Engineering at Tel Aviv University; Sharon Shaked, VP People at Cyera and an alumna of the Faculty of Management at Tel Aviv University; Hila Stern, Head of Recruitment and Employee Development at AstraZeneca; and Nimrod Cohen, Founder and Managing Partner of TAU Ventures, Tel Aviv University.

 

 

The event concluded with an inspirational performance by Dr. Roy Oppenheim, composer, conductor, and Artistic Director of The Revolution Orchestra, titled “The Revolution Orchestra: Creating Culture in Times of Crisis.”
