When Academia Meets an Aerospace and Defense Giant: Tel Aviv University Alumni Visit Lockheed Martin Israel

The Tel Aviv University Alumni Organization continues to create strategic opportunities that connect academia with leading global companies. As part of this initiative, Tel Aviv University alumni participated in a special visit to the offices of Lockheed Martin Israel, one of the world's leading companies in the fields of technology, defense, and aerospace. Tal Galor, CEO of Lockheed Martin Israel, is an alumna of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Tel Aviv University.

The event offered alumni a unique opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to the cutting edge of engineering and defense technologies, connect with professionals in key industry positions, expand their professional networks, and enjoy a hands-on experience with the company's advanced flight simulators.

A highlight of the event was an inspiring talk by Brig. Gen. (Res.) Ittai Rais, Vice President of Business Development at Lockheed Martin Israel and an alumnus of the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Humanities at Tel Aviv University. Rais shared insights into the challenges and opportunities in business development within the defense sector and discussed the intersection of engineering and innovation.

Sigalit Ben Hayoun, Head of the Tel Aviv University Alumni Organization, said:

"We would like to thank Tal Galor, Ittai Rais, and Lockheed Martin Israel for their warm hospitality and for hosting such an inspiring and enriching event. The visit attracted many alumni who were participating in our activities for the first time, allowing them to learn more about the company's work in Israel and around the world. At the Tel Aviv University Alumni Organization, we are committed to strengthening the connection between academia and industry. Following the tremendous success of our events at leading companies such as Microsoft, Check Point, BioCatch, Playtika, and NVIDIA, we were delighted to partner with Lockheed Martin Israel for a personal and unique meeting. We remain committed to creating meaningful experiences that open doors and generate new opportunities for our alumni."
