The Tel Aviv University Alumni Organization, led by Sigalit Ben Hayoun, continues the series of “When Academy Meets Industry” meetings, in which alumni from recent years are invited to visit leading companies from various fields of activity in the world of hi-tech and industry and get to know their activities up close.
The last event was held at BeesTLV Abinbev, and many alumni took part, enjoying a pampering reception of beers and snacks.
Omer Agiv and the Tel Aviv University alumni
Omer Agiv, Founder of Weissbeerger, and Chief Future Officer at BeesTLV Abinbev, an alum of the Faculty of Engineering at the Tel Aviv University, gave a fascinating and inspiring lecture and shared with the participants the success story of the company, which specializes in developing and marketing tools for controlling the sale of alcoholic beverages in bars, from the moment the idea was conceived, its growth to the point where the company was sold to Anheuser-Busch InBev (BUD), a Belgian-Brazilian international beverage company, which is also the largest brewer in the world, with a market share of 25%.
Among other things, Agiv mentioned the following to the alumni: “Always do what you love. This will ensure that you’ll be best in the field”.
