When Academia Meets Entrepreneurship and Technology

Omri Geller, Vice President of Product Management for Run:ai at NVIDIA and a member of the Tel Aviv University Alumni Advisory Committee, recently hosted a group of young Tel Aviv University alumni for an exclusive networking and career event at the company's offices.

Geller, who was recently selected as one of Globes magazine's prestigious 40 Under 40 honourees, shared insights from his academic and professional journey—from earning two degrees in Electrical Engineering at Tel Aviv University, through founding the AI infrastructure startup Run:ai and leading it through its acquisition by NVIDIA, to his current role as Vice President at the global technology leader.

The event, titled "When Academia Meets Industry," was designed to expose alumni to exciting career opportunities while strengthening the connection between academia and the business world. As part of the visit, participants also received professional career guidance from Hagar Israeli, a Tel Aviv University alumna of the Faculty of Social Sciences and a Senior Technical Recruiter at NVIDIA. Israeli provided attendees with practical tools and advice to help them navigate interviews and career opportunities in today's rapidly evolving technology landscape.
