The event took place at the Bar Shira Auditorium on Tel Aviv University, where hundreds of alumni gathered for a multidisciplinary panel discussion featuring inspiring alumni speakers who shared insights on Artificial Intelligence and its impact across various fields, reshaping our world and influencing our lives.

The panel featured the following inspiring alumni:

  • Prof. Ran Balicer: Vice President for Innovation, Clalit Health Services company, and alumnus of the Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University.
  • Prof. Karine Nahon: senior researcher and lecturer in the field of information politics, society, and technology, and alumna of the Faculties of Exact Sciences, Social Sciences, and Management at Tel Aviv University.
  • Nataly Kremer: Chief Product Officer at Check Point, an alumna of the Faculties of Exact Sciences and Management at Tel Aviv University.
  • Dr. Nimrod Kozlovski: Co-Founder of Cytactic - Cyber Crisis Management, lecturer at the Faculty of Management, and alumnus of the Faculties of Law and Management at Tel Aviv University.
  • Dror Globerman: Panel Moderator, journalist, musician, and television host, an alumnus of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Tel Aviv University.

Prof. Moshe Zviran, Chief of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Officer at Tel Aviv University, opened the event by emphasizing the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence as a powerful force reshaping industries, economies, and the fabric of our daily lives. He stressed the importance of understanding the deep impact of technology and navigating its opportunities and challenges.

During the panel, Prof. Ran Balicer delivered a brief speech, highlighting the remarkable potential of AI in predicting diseases: "With the help of artificial intelligence tools, today we know how to prevent a disease even before the symptoms started. Compare the ChatGPT to the online answers of doctors. It turns out that the chat has infinite patience and its answers are not only accurate but also seen as much more empathetic. Doctors won't be replaced by AI, but those that do not use AI would be replaced by doctors that use AI".

Dror Globerman opened the panel with the statement, "Artificial Intelligence challenges natural intelligence more than any other technology."

Prof. Karine Nahon pointed out that "AI systems are mainly based on connections and learning from extensive data, and their output is not necessarily precise. Over the years, these systems have become more common, and people treat them as if they were an exact science. This poses a challenge to social and business systems in the era of Artificial Intelligence."

Nataly Kremer noted, "Today, we don't know if an attack was carried out using Artificial Intelligence or not, as the attacks seem the same. However, we do observe an increase in attacks, such as Zero-day attacks, by criminal organizations, likely enabled by the use of Artificial Intelligence technologies. There are also reports of attacks in underground forums where Artificial Intelligence is employed to construct attacks."

Dr. Nimrod Kozlovski mentioned that "specialized technology is used to profile agencies and identify suspicious signs, and its usage is heightened in the public sphere to track suspects involved in criminal activities."
