Members of the Advisory Board of the Tel Aviv University Alumni Organization Held a Year-End Summary Meeting on Campus

Members of the Advisory Board of the Tel Aviv University Alumni Organization held a meeting to review the outgoing academic year (5785) and discuss the challenges of the upcoming year (5786). During the meeting, a new board member was introduced: Omri Geller, Co-Founder of Run:ai, an Israeli startup acquired NVIDIA, where he currently serves as Vice President, has joined the Advisory Committee of the Tel Aviv University (TAU) Alumni. Geller is an alumnus of Tel Aviv University, holding a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (with honors) and an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering.

Members of the Advisory Board of the Tel Aviv University Alumni Organization Held a Year-End Summary Meeting on Campus

 

Amos Elad, Vice President for External Relations, Resource Development, and Alumni Affairs, and Yael Regev, Director of the External Relations Division, presented a summary of the past year along with an overview of the challenges ahead in the new year. The meeting concluded with a brainstorming session between the board members and Prof. Drorit Neumann, Dean of Student Success.

As part of the brainstorming session, Racheli Warshavsky, Head of the Social Impact Unit in the Dean of Student Success, presented a talk and led a discussion on “TAU IMPACT.” She introduced Tel Aviv University’s academic social innovation and entrepreneurship platform, which works to advance the goals of social organizations and initiatives and to strengthen the social commitment of Israel’s promising young leaders.

Advisory Board members and Tel Aviv University alumni who participated in the meeting included: Omri Geller, Co-Founder of Run:ai, (an Israeli startup acquired NVIDIA), Vice President at NVIDIA , an alumnus of the Faculty of Engineering at Tel Aviv University; Udy Danino, Co-Founder and CEO of Muze.ai, formerly Founder and CEO of SAIPS, and an alumnus of the Faculty of Exact Sciences and the Faculty of Engineering; Amir Guy, Founder and CEO of Moonshoot, an alumnus of the Faculty of Management; Dan Karmon, an Expert in e-commerce and digital health, an alumnus of the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Management; Amir Schor, Entrepreneur, executive, partner, and business development advisor, an alumnus of the Faculty of Exact Sciences and the Faculty of Humanities; Anat Starik Dahan, Deputy CEO of the Setai, Herbert Samuel, and Orchid Hotel Groups and Chair of the Marketing Committee of the Israel Hotel Association, an alumna of the Faculty of Humanities; Karen Schwok, Owner and CEO of Lucid Investments Ltd., an alumna of the Faculty of Management; Keren Shaked, Head of Experience Management at AKT Global, an alumna of the Faculty of Management; Adv. Ran Fuhrer, legal counsel to the controlling shareholder of Bezeq, a board member, and VP of Business Development at Neopharm, an alumnus of the Faculty of Law; and Tomer Blustein, Founder of Pink Park and VP of Business Development at the Beit Bakfar network, an alumnus of the Faculty of Life Sciences and the Faculty of Exact Sciences.

 

 

Sigalit Ben-Hayoun, Head of the Tel Aviv University Alumni Organization, stated:
“As part of the Advisory Board’s year-end activities for the Tel Aviv University Alumni Organization, we held a year-end summary and brainstorming meetings for the coming year on campus, with the participation of Vice President Amos Elad, who presented the key topics moving forward. We welcomed Omri Geller, who joined the Alumni Organization’s Advisory Board.  The Advisory Board members contributed key insights and innovative ideas during a meaningful and productive brainstorming session, and together with the Dean of Student Success, proposed programs and implementation pathways going forward, offering new insights and suggestions to strengthen the social impact of Tel Aviv University students.”
