“The Sea”
Special Pre-Premiere screening hosted by the Tel Aviv University Alumni Organization
The Tel Aviv University Alumni Organization, headed by Sigalit Ben Hayoun, held a special pre-premiere screening of the Israeli feature film “The Sea”, winner of five Ophir Awards at the 2025 Ophir Awards — and Israel’s official submission for the Academy Awards (Oscars)!
Following the screening, guests enjoyed a one-on-one conversation with the film’s director Shai Carmeli Pollak, an alumnus of the Steve Tisch School of Film and Television at the Faculty of the Arts, Tel Aviv University, and Yael Shoov, film and television critic, an alumna of the Faculty of Humanities and the Steve Tisch School of Film and Television, Tel Aviv University.
