It’s time to love!
In honor of Jewish Love Day, the Tel Aviv Alumni Organization welcomes you to celebrate Tu B’Av at the Hameretz 2 lounge bar!
Who is the event for? Alumni up to the age of 35.
Evenings plan:
18:30 – Mingling
19:15 – “A Brief History of Love” talk with Dr. Liat Yakir, a biologist, writer, lecturer, and researcher of the biology of human feelings and behavior, PhD in Genetics, MSc in Hormone Studies from Weizmann Institute of Science, and an Alumna of the George Wise-Klausner Faculty of Life Science at the Tel Aviv University. Her training in the field of biology, combined with her ability to make scientific topics accessible to a variety of audiences, made Dr. Yakir one of the most popular speakers in Israel, and she’s also an expert consultant in organizations where she consults about ‘Neuro-Management’ – empathy and stress in working places.
Dr. Yakir consulted in the TV program ‘Marriage at First Sight’ (Hatunami), distributed by Keshet. Her first book, ’A Brief History of Love’, published by ‘Keter Books’, about the biology of romantic love, was published in June 2022 and became a bestseller. The book was published in English by Watkins Media in February 2024 and has since been translated into Chinese, Thai, Korean, Vietnamese, Ukrainian, and Arabic. Website >
